Inconvenient truth Movie

Inconvenient truth, movies that offer a great motivation and at the same time impel me to take a fresh look at my own personal relationship with the world of nature.
Former Vice Pres. Al Gore reminds us here of Natures munificence and benevolence as manifested by everything we see around us - on land, on sea, on air; of man’s wastage and prodigality of these bounties; of Natures varied language and moods as she speaks to us in diverse ways through her wondrous creations other than man himself; and most of all, the movie talks about Al Gore strong advocacy to stop global warming.
That indiscriminate logging has cleared away much of the land vegetation, the very resource that helps absorb carbon dioxide and shields us from the earth being warmed.
That Earth/ Global warming melts the world polar ice sheets and this ice that have melted result in sea level rise, which in turn bring about the flooding of low places.
That rivers being dammed for water and power, and the land being overgrazed result in the desertification of much of the earth’s surface.
That those big factories, which continue to produce fluorocarbons, destroy the ozone layer and contribute to global warming.
Are there possible and practicable means by which man can minimize these ill effects? What should man do to maintain and preserve the earth?
It is our tremendous responsibility that we conserve, maintain and protect the global Earth for our own survival and for those who will come after us. In our own little way we can make a difference in helping to stop [global warming. Let us start from implementing a program for minimizing hazardous waste products, increased protection for endangered species and their habitat, family planning and a world- wide ban on fluorocarbons, which destroy the ozone layer and contribute to global warming. Because if this environmental degradation remains unabated, if we continue to disregard the sanctity of our God- given environment, we will also continue to experience Mother Nature’s ways of showing her disfavor for such intrusions: flooding, drought, pollution- related health risks, global warming and insurmountable ills to society.
No, the earth does not abide forever. And the only way for her to abide a bit longer is for man to convert from being her attacker into being her protector.
It is time therefore to restructure the environment. To rationalize supply and demand of the world’s natural resources in such a manner that ecological balance harmonizes with the ever- growing demands of people.
When we recognize that every little thing that we do has ecological implications, only then shall we realize that everything we do in this world makes a difference. Acceptance therefore of our individual duty and responsibility towards the protection of the place we live in means that we must have personal commitment t change our values t actively pursue a brighter and greener future.
